Session ONE

Welcome to your Vidi.Academy first session.

Since mentoring involves feedback and online visits there is some setup and preparation required. You have a camera, of course, and a computer. You will need to be able to share your assignment work with your instructor. That requires a few more technical details.

  1. You need to be able to import your photos from your camera to your computer.
  2. You need to store and organize your image files on your computer,
  3. You need to be able to do some basic photo editing.
  4. You need to be able to share your work with your instructor at Vidi.Academy

If you are already set and equipped to do these things, then you can skip ahead to Session TWO.

Computer Apps

To copy image files from your camera to your computer requires an application on your computer to handle that task easily and efficiently. Your computer already has such software installed, but that may not be the most versatile for the long range. Most photo editing apps also include tools for importing and organizing the photos. Your camera very likely came with software tools for doing these tasks. You may need to download and install those tools.

You also need to be able to share your photos with your instructor. We do not accept photos attached to emails, you need to use an online photo sharing service. If you are not already using a sharing site like Google Photos, Flickr, or similar, follow the links below.
